A Hidden Gem Worth the Detour – New Favourite Indian Spot in Melbourne! My partner and I have been saying for five years that we’d try this place. We drive past it every few months, make a mental note… and then forget. Today, we finally made the trip — and while it’s slightly out of the way, it’s absolutely worth it. The food was phenomenal. We ordered a few of our favourites —including Aloo Gobi, samosas, and Kashmiri rice — and every single dish was packed with flavour. It was one of those meals where you don’t want it to end, the kind that makes you slow down and just live in the moment. On top of the amazing food, the customer service was equally impressive. The staff were incredibly polite, helpful, and attentive — you could tell they genuinely cared about making sure you had a great experience from start to finish. Safe to say, we won’t be sleeping on this place again. It’s officially my new favourite Indian restaurant in all of Melbourne. A true hidden gem!
First of all, the view from the window was great, looking down onto the road and across to the nearby river—an excellent angle to enjoy while dining at such a venue. The food had a wonderful mix of textures and flavors, especially the green spinach curry, as seen in the photo. The beef lentils were a great addition to the other curries, including the three-lentil dahl. There was a good selection of rice, and the one I chose did not disappoint. It had the perfect texture and the right additives, making it both delicious and well-suited to complement the curries. The customer service was genuine and thoughtful. They don’t allow outside drinks, the staff kindly offered to store my drink in their fridge until the end of my visit, which was a great touch. The restaurant is licensed to serve alcohol and also has an outdoor area. With a river just across the road, it’s a perfect spot for a fantastic Indian feast in the valley.
First time visiting Indian restaurant over at Australia, ordered the Set Menu A Banquets. It was magnificent and I enjoyed every meal that was made here. Would recommend and have a meal once again!
We have been dining here for many years, and the quality of the food and service is exceptional. Last night, we enjoyed a meal with friends while sitting near the fire. My wife noticed that the food being prepared for us was made from scratch, completely authentic and not pre-made. That’s why the food is delicious and always fresh. We’ll definitely be back!
The service from Nathan was top quality with friendly conversation, knowledgeable about the menu and ways the food was prepared, and attentive to detail. The menu had a good variety, though the food could have had more seasoning and spice. The fireplace created a warm and relaxing atmosphere.
Dined in after a long time between visits and left feeling very satisfied. Food was delicious, service friendly and a warm atmosphere. We will back again soon!
Quiet Tuesday night. Few people inside. Friendly welcome as we arrived. Ordered the banquet which had a nice variety. We thought it was Great value for what we got. Food come out pretty quickly and was absolutely delicious. Thank you
